Meadowlands residents help plan our recreation calendar through our recreation roundtable, which means every day has something to look forward to. From seasonal events like our Fathers’ Day Show n’ Shine to weekly or monthly events our residents love, life at Meadowlands is vibrant and full. Join an exercise class, play beanbag baseball, or enjoy a live Rock performance during happy hour. Life at Meadowlands means shaping your days the way you want.
Activities & recreation
Residents have access to a book nook and puzzle station, a second-floor games area with pool, air hockey, and shuffleboard, an exercise space, and a chapel. We regularly host activities and events, and organize outings to locations within Medicine Hat and nearby, such as a trivia and pub night. On-site hair salon services are available for an additional fee.
Outside, Meadowlands features beautifully maintained green spaces where you’re likely to spot bunnies, gophers, and more.
Dining
Dining is important to us at Meadowlands, and we’re known for great food, home-style cooking, and the familiar favourites you love. Outside of mealtimes, the bistro serves coffee, juice and snacks all day, with offerings replenished throughout the day. Gather with friends and neighbours at the main-floor bistro coffee lounge, a welcoming spot to enjoy a fresh cup, a puzzle, and easy conversation any time of day.
Health and support
At Meadowlands, residents have access to the care and support they need each day. With 24-hour LPNs and health care aides on site, plus emergency call bells in every suite, life at Meadowlands means peace of mind for both our residents and their families. Clinical care is provided by our own internal team, and much of it covered through home care, so residents can receive support with things like medications, dressing, or bathing, right in the comfort of their suite.
